My Idea is about bringing the family to the Singapore Philatelic Museum.
Dads and Kids will love this because kids will be intrigued by the variety of colours, crests and symbols, like I was when my dad first introduced me to stamps. One may have the impression it might be boring for children, but in fact, they’re really captivating.
The Singapore Philatelic Museum has an Orange Room where children will learn about the world’s first stamp. They can also find out how stamps are a window to the world and use these to explore many other topics such as science, technology, history and culture. Other interesting exhibits include the “talking” Penny Black, and stamps made of unusual materials.
You will find this a fascinating visit indeed.
