The Art of Making La Mian and Xiao Long Bao

Idea by Kathy Tan

My Idea for Dads and Kids is to bond over a family activity. This is very important to me and we love doing things together as a family!

The making of the little chef at NoodleStar is a fantastic activity. In fact the organizer promised to conduct different sessions so we can keep coming back to learn more! The activity for an adult and child is only S$18 for two sessions (La Mian & Xiao Long Bao). It includes a chef hat, a certificate of achievement and goodie bag for children plus a mini hi-tea buffet! Check it out, its a must attend fun time for parents and kids alike!

Dads and Kids will love this because it’s a whole afternoon of super fun together! There are other families to enjoy the session with as well! Papa and Mama are there to guide and give affirmation to the children throughout the session, as to the right way to knead the dough, swing the dough and shape the dough. The final product may not be fantastic but the whole process is just marvellous! Its one of our favourite bonding activities! Did I mention their hi-tea is very yummy too?

  1. When is the workshop? Did not see the event on the website. Thanks.

    • The link leads you to a promotions webpage which shows that they had a Junior Chef Workshop in June 2013. Perhaps you can give the establishment a call to ask when their next workshop will be held and maybe you can even book in advance.
