Something special distinguishes this Choa Chu Kang Park” – there’s a 3-generation (3G) fitness and recreation area that allows both young and old to be in close proximity to play and exercise together.
Talk about a space that removes barriers to family bonding!
What does this mean practically? The fitness corner comes with stretching equipment and warm-up wheels at an appropriate height if someone in the family is wheelchair bound. This allows you to include the elderly or anyone in who is physically challenged, in your family’s outing or exercise regime.
This may be a minor detail, but it makes a difference for families provide caregiving.
There’s much more to cheer about the Park. It’s got all the amenities you’d appreciate and expect in a green space near your home: a jogging track lined with trees, event spaces and lawns, as well as an amphitheatre. The playground proves a popular spot with its pyramid climbing net, sand pit, slides, and swings -two of which are suitable for toddlers.
Novice skaters can try out their moves at a purpose-built plaza. The open lawn is a good place for picnics or simply hanging out with family while watching kites soar above.
The Park will also be home to an upcoming 3G community garden that’s intentionally designed to cater to Choa Chu Kang residents of all ages, heights, and physically mobility. Imagine the joys of Grandpa and Grandson gardening together, watching plants grow –away from the smartphone screens for a while.
